Treva M. Wells

Treva M. Wells, 79, of Bushnell, died at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.

She was born November 3, 1929, in Bushnell, to Freeman E. and Maxine B. (Rigg) Swift. She married Rex Abernathy on March 17, 1947. She later married John Wells on June 18, 1966. He preceded her in death August of 1993. 

She is survived by two sons, Gary (Beth) Abernathy of Greeley, Colo. and Jim Abernathy of Bushnell; two daughters, Judy Scott-Abernathy of Owensville, Mo. and Jan Abernathy of Bushnell; two step sons, David Wells of Murphysboro, Tenn., and Gary Wells of Fairbanks, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and one brother, Freeman Swift of Bushnell.

She worked for several factories in Bushnell.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2009 at Bushnell Cemetery.

Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, is in charge of arrangements.
