Karen Lynne Siegel, 66, of Rushville, died at 11:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at Blessing Hospital, Quincy. She was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Peoria, to Howard and Lena (Roberts) Humphrey. She married Darrell Dean Siegel on April 27, 1968 in Peoria. He preceded her in death April 19, 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Deanna “Dee” (Brad) Snurr of Sedalia, Mo., and Tracy (Jim) Keithley of Beardstown; two sons, Troy Siegel of Rushville and Greg (Dawniele) Siegel of Rushville; 10 grandchildren; four step grandchildren and one brother; Richard “Dick” (Barb) Humphrey of Secor. She worked in food service at WIU in Macomb, retiring in April 2007. She was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Rushville and enjoyed reading, crafts, shopping and her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Rushville with Father Thomas Tibainuguka officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Peoria, with Monsignor Donald Fitzpatrick officiating.
